We just spent a great long weekend over at Gili Trawangan. It's only 2 hours by fast boat and I am not sure why we don't go more often. Truly wonderful place. White sandy beaches, a sea that is teaming with exotic fish and SCUBA diving to die for. Expect a couple more images to come from my holiday snaps.
The first one is a couple of guys lounging in the back of their Cidomo. That is the name of the little pony driven carts that transport people and equipment around this little atoll. No cars, or trucks, not even a motorbike, only these and bicycles. Another weird thing is there are no dogs on the island. But there are a lot of cats.

If you ever get the chance to go, you should.
